It is Thanksgiving Eve. Are you working today or have the day off? We are going to start talking turkey today. BUT FIRST! The Edge Radio Show with Mike Worley is LIVE today and tomorrow. As you continue to prepare the big meal tomorrow morning, plan to tune in at Shag City USA for a special holiday edition of the show. We have special guests scheduled to join me in the studio located in Carolina Beach, NC. We hope you will join us tomorrow as well as today.
NOW! Let’s Talk FOOD
What dish has to be on your table tomorrow? Is it a traditional dish or something unique to your family tradition? Tell us something that you prefer to NOT SEE on your table at Thanksgiving.
According to an article I read this morning, the top 3 dishes people wish would NOT be on the table for Thanksgiving are:
1. Canned Cranberry Sauce
2. Sweet Potatoe Casserole topped with marshmallows
3. Green Bean Casserole
I couldn’t agree more!
How could you not like Green Beans mixed with Mushroom Soup and Fried Onion Topping? I am sure I will eat that at least once tomorrow! I looking forward to some oyster dressing.
I prefer the berries over the jelly for cranberries.
I don’t care, call me a traditionalist. Some things just have to be on the table with the Turkey. Oh yeah.. Angela’s Corn SoufflĂ© is another MUST!
Cranberry Sauce! I couldn’t agree more. This is one of those traditions that I never understood or enjoyed; and what is attractive about a red can shaped jello mold sitting on your table? YUCK!
There is nothing on the Thanksgiving table that I do not like..Love it all,..
I enjoy the pecan pie from a family recipe. I
would take that anytime over green bean casserole. Aren’t we suppose to eat dessert first!!
Man, I love it all! Leave your cranberry sauce for me! But, it’s better if you start with fresh cranberries, some brown sugar, and orange zest…throw that into a sauce pan, add a little water and cook it down…mmmmm. I must be different because I love the other 2 on the list , too.
