One of the most loved groups in Carolina Beach Music is the Fantastic Shakers. If you have followed them in the last couple of years, you know they celebrated their 35th Anniversary. The Fantastic Shakers were inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in 2015. They have received just about every award possible in the CBMA (NUMEROUS TIMES). Former drummer but always a Shaker, Don Tetreault, along with current members Freddy Tripp and Bo Schronce are all members of the CBMA Hall of Fame as is the band itself. Bo Schronce, THE FRONT MAN and Carolina Beach Music Legend, even holds a key to the City of North Myrtle Beach!
Today on the Edge, we ask you to share your favorite songs by the Fantastic Shakers. If you have a memory or story that you want to share, please do so in the comment section below or on our Edge Entertainment facebook page. We will be playing some of our favorite Shaker songs and yours on the The Edge Radio Show this morning. We hope you can tune in with us. We have been in touch with several people that plan to call in and share some stories and talk about the Shakey Boys!
Tune in to The Edge today at 9AM

The first two songs that come to mind when I think of the Shakers are “Shaking the Shack” and “Myrtle Beach Days” – There are way too many to pick just one!
Johnny B was on earlier – requested “Something Like Love”
Chad Sain joined me on the show – his first pick was ” Walk with Me Talk With Me”, he tried to stump us with “Statue of a Fool”
Thanks to both Johnny B and Chad Sain for joining me on The Edge Radio show for this Shakers Tuesday!
Great Call with Freddy Tripp. I wish I could make that party on Saturday night – The Shakers Christmas Party in Lincolnton sounds like it is going to be a good one!
