Some of the best moments of my childhood were spent listening to The Charlie Byrd Beach Blast. My parents, for as long as I can remember have listened to beach music, and in our house… The Charlie Byrd Beach Blast was on every weekend! It was this show that helped influence my decision to become a DJ. Charlie Byrd is a legend in the Carolina Beach Music Industry. I know there are a lot of people out there that miss his show.
Of course, there have been a lot of great DJs and Beach Music Radio Shows throughout the years.
In September 2015, I started my radio show playing the music I love and hopefully you will find the show packs 3 hours of great music to get your day going every weekday morning.

I have the pleasure of calling Charlie Byrd a personal friend of mine.
Charlie made our weekend complete with his show on Saturdays with Charlie and the grill life was good.
We worked with him through our shag club and had the pleasure seeing him inducted into the DJ Hall Of Fame at Fat Harold’s.
He was a class act, it was always about the music, never about Charlie.
He changed my perception of beach music and was a fine gentleman.
Any suggestions on locating/ purchasing old copies of his show?
I listened on Sunday nights on WDLX and it helped me feel a little uplifted. I taped as many shows as I could on my cassette player and still whip them out on occasion when I need to smile.
